James Martin: Saturday Morning chef issues apology after facing issue ‘Wasn’t their fault'

Saturday Morning chef James Martin, 48, has apologised after experiencing ventilation problems in the kitchen he runs in his restaurant. The issue was unfortunately timed, as the UK faced another day of scorching temperatures yesterday due to the heatwave.

James hinted he was initially concerned that the provider of his ventilator was at fault, but later discovered the independent fitters of the technology were at the root of the problem.

The This Morning favourite addressed the situation in view of his 431,000 Instagram followers alongside a photo of his kitchen, which was covered in pots and pans.

Saying sorry for his confusion over what caused the issue, James wrote: “Ready for service and cooler! 

“Apologies and thanks to the guys at Halton for helping us sort out the issue that wasn’t their fault, and we now know was the independent fitters fitting the wrong fans and stuff in the roof…cheers…now check on.”

The original post saw Carol presenting a weather segment from Greenwich Park in London.

It read: “When the weather report doesn’t go to plan…”

In the funny clip, Carol could be heard telling BBC viewers there were lots of “doggers” in the park at the time.

She said: “Good morning everybody, and Greenwich park is the one of the oldest enclosed of the royal parks, and look at it… fabulous.

“The sun is beating down and we’ve seen lots of doggers…

“Not doggers of course, lots of dog walkers and joggers…”

In an attempt to make Carol feel better about her mishap, James shared a story about his own television blunder.

“I remember trying to say Rick Stein and a spotted dick and custard in the same sentence live a few years ago… ” he divulged, leaving the mistake to the imagination of social media users.
