Alison Hammond: This Morning presenter addresses 'sad' news as she reaches out for help

Alison Hammond, 45, who has been a regular guest presenter on This Morning since 2003, spoke out about some “sad” news earlier today after one of her Twitter followers shared an unearthed picture of herself online. While the ITV sensation expressed her deepest condolences, she urged her fans to help out where they could.

It comes after one person shared a picture of Alison and their “dear friend Vish” who recently lost his fight with coronavirus.

Alongside a snap of Alison and Vish, they wrote: “Hi @AlisonHammond. Found this great pic of you and our dear friend Vish who lost his fight to COVID.

“We are cycling 112 miles to raise money for B’ham Women’s Hospital neonatal intensive care in his honour,” they shared.

“Please, is there any chance you can help publicise?”

Alison went on to explain: “You can’t go and do Dancing On Ice fearful, which I literally will be.”

Alison, who first started her presenting and reporting role with This Morning back in 2003, has also appeared on the likes of Big Brother and Strictly Come Dancing.

Speaking about why she agreed to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2010, the reality TV star explained: “Yes, you are covered from all angles but I feel that because they’re celebrities, they’re a lot more gentle to the celebrities and ultimately it’s a family show, they don’t want anything nasty and it will all be edited down.

“So, I think deep down they want to show the best of you.”
