But the proposed Starlink constellation has also raised concerns, particularly from astronomers.
With a growing presence in space, companies like SpaceX, Amazon and OneWeb plan to populate low-Earth orbit with thousands of satellites.
Astronomers have expressed their concerns about the effect these satellites will have on astronomical observations.
