Can you still see the 2020 Perseid meteor shower?
This year’s Perseid meteor shower is e expected to peak on Tuesday, August 11 and today, August 12.
This event will take place when the Moon should be slightly less than half full.
The meteor shower’s popularity is explained by a combination of its strength, with as many as 100 meteors visible every hour, and its coinciding with receptive summer nights in the northern hemisphere.
However, the Waning Moon is likely to wash out many of the otherwise visible shooting stars.
Fortunately, that still leaves plenty of time to spot the meteors with just a little planning.
