To be eligible for the casting call for their upcoming Magnolia Network homeowners need to live within 30 miles of Waco which was already a requirement  in the series previously.

However according to the publication there are a few changes including having at least a $50K remodeling budget, giving the couple all design and renovation decisions, and being willing to vacate their home as projects are expected to last between 30 and 35 weeks.

Casting candidates would have to find their own alternative housing in the meantime.

Another stark difference with the revamp will be that the couple will only be considering ‘homeowners who have closed on a home and/or currently living in their “Fixer Upper”‘ according to TMZ.

Previously  Joanna and Chip helped out clients who were in the process of looking for a home they wanted to buy and renovate.

Any interested parties should email [email protected] to be considered as homeowners are expected to be casted by September.
