One Mrs Hinch fan posted on Facebook how she removed burnt food and dirt off of her oven racks.
Posting on the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips, the woman revealed how she cleaned her oven racks in the bath using dishwasher tablets.
She wrote: “Firstly wrap your racks in tin foil. Place in the bath with two dishwasher tablets and cover in hot water. Leave overnight.”
The dishwasher tablets and tinfoil react with each other, enabling the tablet to soften the dirt build up on the oven racks.
Once removed in the morning, wipe down the oven racks with a cloth to ensure all the liquid has disappeared before placing them back into the oven.
Then turn on your oven for around an hour without actually using it to make sure all the cleaning products used have dispursed.
Ovens should be cleaned out regularly but spot cleaning after every use can be useful to ensure that food doesn’t become stuck to the racks or bottom of the oven.
