Martin Kemp v Roman Kemp net worth: Father and son’s huge fortunes exposed

Martin Kemp may be best known for starting out as the bassist in Spandau Ballet, but he’s since found even more fame with his TV and film career. After years of acting in soaps, dramas and even films, he’s now turned his hand to presenting – and it’s a family affair. The 58-year old star is now presenting a Sunday chat show alongside his son Roman Kemp, 27.

The father and son duo are now working together for the ITV show, Martin & Roman’s Sunday Best!

The show includes plenty of celebrity guests – no doubt friends of the presenters themselves – as well as talking to viewers and playing games.

The programme was launched during the months of lockdown, which meant social distancing measures had to be put in place for filming.

Martin said of the show’s launch: “Lockdown has been a really tough time for everyone and we are just pleased to be able to bring some feel-good entertainment and hopefully put a smile on people’s faces on Sunday mornings. And what could be better than working with my son Roman! Brilliant guests and lots of stuff to make you laugh.”

Roman added that he loved working with his dad and was looking forward to starting the new gig.

The English star has made his millions through his music, as part of Spandau Ballet.

He joined his older brother Gary Kemp in the band, which was originally called the Gentry, and later renamed.

But after chart success, Martin then went onto his TV and film career where he became well known for playing the villain.

Martin starred alongside his brother Gary in the critically acclaimed The Krays film before heading to soapland.

One of his most iconic roles was as Steve Owen in EastEnders, for which he won many awards.

His troubled character was eventually killed off in a car chase with his Albert Square rival, Phil Mitchell.

Roman has hosted Capital FM since November 2014.

However, he really shot to the spotlight when he took part in the ITV show, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The stint in the jungle would have reportedly earned the radio host £40,000.

The popular star has grown up in a famous household, with both his parents being household names.

Roman’s mother is Shirlie Kemp, who sang with Wham! as part of Pepsi & Shirlie.

His godfather was also the late singer George Michael.
