Donald Trump walks off and cuts interview short after grilling on bypassing Congress VIDEO

The US President was repeatedly questioned on his decision and if he will hold further talks with the Democrats after they broke down. President Trump walked off the stage during the  press conference in Bedminster New Jersey after a reporter repeatedly grilled him on whether he was setting a new precedent that the President was above Congress.

One reporter asked: “Why not just work with Congress on this deal?”

President Trump replied:  “

Well, I am not saying they’re not going to come back and negotiate they might very well come back and negotiate.”

Another journalist said: “

Mr President, this is expected to be tied up in the courts.

“This relief is either going to be delayed or blocked indefinitely.”

President Trump said: “I think it is going to go very rapidly through the courts.

“If we get sued, it’s somebody that doesn’t want people to get money.

“Okay and that is not going to be a very popular thing.”

The reporter asked: “

Are you trying to set a new precedent that the President can go around Congress and decide.”

President Trump interjected: “You ever heard of the word obstruction?

Earlier this week a former US senator stated Donald Trump is “killing” the Republican Party and driving future generations of voters away.

Jeff Flake told BBC Newsnight: “For the Republican Party it is not good for the population, the voters, the citizens or anything.

“Just in terms of what it is doing to the party, it is killing us as Republicans.

“Our brand is tarnished we’re in a demographic cul-de-sac now.”
