Lewis Hamilton gives spiky post-qualifying answer at F1 70th Anniversary Grand Prix

Hamilton held on for the final lap, expertly driving his car over the finish line ahead of Max Verstappen.

It was clear that teams were leaning towards the medium compound more this week.

And Hamilton doesn’t expect anyone to be going for the soft tyre tomorrow.

He gave a spiky answer when asked by Sky Sports’ Paul Di Resta about potential one-stop strategies for Sunday.

“I don’t think many people are going to be managing with a softer compound,” he said.

“The tyre didn’t make it to the end last weekend so it’s highly unlikely people will do a one-stop tomorrow.”
