Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris rewards report for this week, Solstice of Heroes news

Soon enough, Guardians will have the full report on what new rewards are available in Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris. Things will be kicking off today, August 7, at around 6pm BST, with plenty of loot to earn before the weekly reset. And it should be noted that Trials of Osiris launches on the same day as Destiny’s Xur returns, offering new gear to snap up for those willing to trade in their Legendary Shards.

But while the Trials will be the main PvP crucible over the weekend, alongside the Iron Banner, both will be ending on August 11.

And on that date, Eva Levante and the Solstice of Heroes event will be returning to The Tower.

This will give gamers the chance to earn a new armour set for each class, with the European Aerial Zone also making a comeback.

A message from Bungie explains: “This year, we have a new approach to Solstice of Heroes armour that we think is going to give you far more flexibility on how you show off your Solstice-ness.

“Similar to previous years, you will start with a Rare set and upgrade it into a Majestic Legendary set. Once you have all of your Legendary gear, you can start a final set of objectives to upgrade it to a Magnificent set.

“Completing these objectives will unlock a white glow on your armour. You need to upgrade your armour to Majestic during Solstice of Heroes but can continue to complete these objectives after the event ends. You can continue to earn more randomly rolled pieces for your Magnificent set in the EAZ.

“One of our goals with the Solstice of Heroes armour was to improve the experience of earning over previous years.

“There won’t be any major armour updates, so once you earn your Majestic set, it will be relevant up until next year’s event.

“The Elemental glows being made into Universal Ornaments will ensure you can use them on any of your high stat armour going forward.”

Back to today and Bungie won’t be sharing any information on what Trials of Osiris rewards will be available, but they will confirm when the event is available to play.

The first information from the event will be shared by Guardians, who will be confirming the new loot unlocks and the map selection almost straight away.

The rest might take a few hours to find out, but we’ll be sure to update this story as soon as we know more.

Returning players will want to visit Saint-14 just, who will be located in the Tower Hangar.

The Osiris reset offers a new inventory of Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.

A different map and a fresh set of rewards will be available to Guardians today if they meet the requirements of the 960 Power rating needed to buy Passages.

As ever, Trials fans will earn exclusive rewards by defeating other teams of three, while hoping to gain entry to the Lighthouse.
