Transfer news LIVE: Jadon Sancho to Man Utd 'imminent', Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal gossip

Everton eye Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma

Everton are interested in signing Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma as an alternative to Lille centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, according to transfer expert Ian McGarry.

Brazilian Gabriel has caught the eye of the Toffees but is also reportedly a target of both Manchester United and Arsenal.

United and Arsenal can offer European football to the 22-year-old next season which may give them an advantage over Everton.

McGarry said on the Transfer Window podcast: “One of the interesting twists in this tale could be Kurt Zouma, a player who has been, I think it is fair to say, unconvincing over the course of the last Premier League season for Chelsea but who is interesting Everton and of course former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.

“He would be someone who might be an alternative to Gabriel, who we spoke about in terms of Manchester United.

“If Gabriel of course prefers to move to Old Trafford rather than Goodison Park then Zouma may well be a reasonable replacement in the pecking order at Everton.”

Jadon Sancho to Man Utd ‘imminent’

Manchester United’s move for Jadon Sancho is now ‘imminent’, according to reports in Germany.

Bild claim the Red Devils are close to reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the England winger.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made the 20-year-old his top target this summer as he looks to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City.

Personal terms have already been agreed with Sancho.

Three pushing Kai Havertz to Chelsea

Chelsea reportedly have Antonio Rudiger, Timo Werner and Michael Ballack trying to talk Kai Havertz into moving to Stamford Bridge.

The Bayer Leverkusen star is Frank Lampard’s No 1 transfer target. But the Blues are hoping to land the playmaker for less than his huge £90million asking price.

Bleacher Report say Chelsea are hoping to sign Havertz for less than the player’s £90m price tag, with the Bundesliga giants hold firm.

And it’s claimed that Werner, Rudiger and club legend Ballack have all been trying to convince the playmaker into making the move to west London.

Philippe Coutinho to Arsenal

Philippe Coutinho is a player in limbo. Barcelona don’t want him back, Bayern Munich won’t be signing him permanently and most clubs in Europe are keen to stay clear.

Arsenal aren’t among them, however, and can offer him something exciting: a starring role in Mikel Arteta’s Gunners revolution.

Arteta justified Arsenal’s faith in him by steering the Gunners to FA Cup glory at the weekend, with his side beating Chelsea 2-1 in the final.

And they can offer Coutinho a starring role in their setup under the Spaniard as he looks to bring the glory days back to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal don’t have a player like him at present.

Liverpool close in on Jamal Lewis

Liverpool are in a strong position to sign Norwich defender Jamal Lewis, because the defender is desperate to join the Premier League champions.

That’s according to a report in The Athletic, which claims the defender has accepted that he won’t be first-choice under Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool are expected to make Lewis one of their top targets this summer.

Klopp is keen to sign a new left-back in the window, and has identified the 22-year-old as the ideal man to come in.

Liverpool transfer guru Michael Edwards has determined that the defender will be worth £10million, and has a plan to convince the Canaries to do a deal.

However, they only plan on paying £8m up front, with an additional £2m to be paid on performance-related add-ons.
