Three police officers are rushed to hospital after being stabbed by a man while responding to a house call in suburban Massachusetts

  • Incident occurred in suburban Saugus on Thursday morning
  • Police officers are currently being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital
  • Suspect was also taken to a hospital, but is not ‘seriously injured’, according to officials 

Three Massachusetts police officers have been rushed to hospital after they were stabbed whilst responding to a house call on Thursday morning. 

The incident happened in suburban Saugus, north of Boston, shortly before 7.30am. 

The cops were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and are expected to survive, according to local reports. 

The male suspect was arrested at the scene and was also taken to hospital. He is not seriously injured. 

Neighbors told WCVB’s Matt Reed that they saw the cops being driven away via ambulance. 

A swarm of police officers, medics and media are currently on the scene, with details still developing as to how the situation unfolded.
