Speaking to RadioTimes.com he said: “We’ll have to see how [season two] goes on BBC Two, and the BBC have been wonderfully supportive, but let’s see how it goes.

“[My daughter] Joey is writing stories on a daily basis that we could put in, so we’re not short of things to write.

“I mean, she is literally coming up with them quicker than I can write them in my notepad.

“So yes, to be honest, we just want to see how this goes down, and the reaction and how people feel, and we’ll take it from there really.”

What will happen in There She Goes season 3?

There She Goes is based on show creator Pye’s own experiences of raising his daughter Joey, who has a chromosomal disorder.

The series follows the Yates family, Simon (played by David Tennant), his wife Emily (Jessica Hynes) and their daughter Rosie (Miley Locke).

There She Goes is told across two different timelines, one in the semi-present day where Rosie is older and the other in 2009.

Rosie has severe learning difficulties and the series explores how the family copes and adapts to her needs.

The ending of season two saw Simon and Emily reconcile their relationship in the flashback timeline.

They had grown apart as they tried to raise their daughter, Rosie, but thankfully, they were able to put aside their differences and be a family.

Simon and Emily are now content and secure in their relationship in both timelines, so hopefully, season three will see them overcome any more challenges they face.
