Fortnite 13.40 update NEW skins: Shadow Bundle Pack, Derby Dynamo outfit and lots MORE

Fortnite update 13.40 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch.

Following an earlier delay, the new Fortnite update finally introduces cars and trucks to Battle Royale.

That’s on top of the usual bug fixes, gameplay tweaks and other quality of life improvements fans have come to expect from any new patch.

Of course, a new update also means lots of juicy new leaks, as hardcore fans root around in the game files for new content.

As discovered by dataminer Lucas7Yoshi, Fortnite update 13.40 adds a variety of new content packs, individual skins, items and emotes.

This includes the Shadow Bundle Pack, which contains the adjustable Mecha Team Shadow skin, as well as the Shadow Jet Set backbling, and Combo Cleaver Harvesting Tool.

The Shadow Bundle Pack also features the Nite Gunner outfit, and the Shadow Archetype skin, which is said to be “engineered in the shadows for combat performance”.

Epic also plans to release the colourful Derby Dynamo bundle, which once again contains different variations.

The Derby Dynamo skin will launch alongside the Quad Roller backbling, as well as the Bucky Bat pickaxe.

You can see the full collection of new update 13.40 skins in the picture above.

Other newly discovered game files include the Deo Ancient Voyager skin, as well as the Mariana outfit.

The summer theme will continue throughout August with the King Krab skin, as well as Kalia and Athleisure and Castaway Jonesy.

Outside of the new skins, Fortnite update 13.40’s headline new feature is the addition of cars.

This includes the Whiplash racing car, the Prevalent automobile, the Mudflap lorry, and the Bear pickup truck. Vehicles will have different health values, speeds and fuel capacity, so choose wisely.

Each new vehicle has a different amount of health and speed, not to mention fuel capacity and fuel burned.

Some fans are already speculating how long cars will be in Fortnite before Epic pulls them for upsetting the game balance.

Looks like we’ll have to wait and see.
