Debbie McGee: Strictly star opens up on ‘unsure times’ as she shares ‘really sad’ news

Debbie McGee, 61, has spoken out about news that her role in a pantomime production of Cinderella has been postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Paul Daniels’ widow opened up about the “really sad” situation in view of her 42,000 Twitter followers this evening while retweeting a post from the theatre’s Chief Executive.

It read: “With no sign of when we can reopen it was inevitable that Cinderella @mayflower would be moved to next year.

“Disappointing but we promise you the most fantastic ball in 2021!@QdosPantomimes @AndrewWright5 @CraigRevHorwood @thedebbiemcgee @Sootyandco.”

Sharing her thoughts on the news, the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant wrote: “It really is so sad, it was going to be wonderful but it has to be in these unsure times.”

In spite of the unfortunate predicament, Debbie saw the positive side and insisted “Cinderella will get to the ball”, just slightly later than planned.
