“I was telling a tragedy and so it’s a tragedy. I think you know in hindsight I don’t know there’s anything different that I could have done to tell people that it wasn’t supposed to be a happy ending.
“But I thought it was pretty clear when Raina died and Angela died that Ghost was losing a lot of things that mattered to him and that he was being warned in a way that god sometimes warns us to messing up, that he was being warned.”
She added: “So much of this for me is about god and how you can do dirt and night, but in the light it is revealed, so that’s where it’s coming from.”
In the lengthy Instagram video, Kemp also shared details about how Ghost may have met his maker sooner in season five, but this was pushed back to the sixth outing in the end.
Even though Ghost is well and truly dead, his spectre will continue to loom over the show given he was such a key player for so long.
Ghost had so much influence, so the other shows are going to be impacted by the character both in life and in death.
