NCIS Los Angeles blunder: Fans spot glaring technical error with Kensi in season seven

The 11th season of NCIS: Los Angeles is currently on hold after filming was delayed by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Thanks to the series’ availability on CBS All Access, long-running fans have been returning to the show’s earlier seasons and uncovering some major blunders.

Two episodes are still remaining after the 11th season of NCIS: Los Angeles went into an unexpected hiatus.

Although some TV shows have returned to set, CBS is still unsure when the cast and crew will be safe enough to continue production in California.

In the meantime, the original show and its two spin-offs have remained a valuable source of entertainment thanks to hundreds of episodes being made available on CBS All Access.

However, the series’ re-watchability had yielded some unexpected results after perceptive fans picked up on some unfortunate blunders in earlier seasons.

One viewer took to online discussion forums when they noticed a particularly distracting moment in the pivotal finale of season seven.

In episode 24, Talion, G. Callen (played by Chris O’Donnell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) race against the clock to save Sam’s son against a terrorist threat.

Recurring villain Tahir Khaled (Anslem Richardson), former dictator and Sam’s arch enemy, makes his dramatic return for the seventh season.

Sadly, the tension was somewhat undercut for fans who noticed this particular technical blunder.

To make matters even worse, the entirety of season seven left viewers baffled by a confusing oversight with Kensi’s love interest Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen).

The long-running NCIS couple are considered one of the highlights for the series, and fans were overjoyed when the pair finally got married in season ten.

Despite sticking around since the series began in 2010, Deeks’ personal life still remains mysterious after viewers picked up on this strange continuity mistake.

One fan pointed out: “When Deeks is shot in season two episode 17, Personal, his records show no next of kin. However in later episodes he has a mother.”
