A reveller has died and two are fighting for life after gunfire broke out at a Beverly Crest mansion

One woman has been killed and two others wounded after a shooting at a Beverly Hills mansion party held in honor of an NFL star.

In a video posted by partygoer Gabriel Pacheco to Instagram, about 20 gunshots could initially be heard. This is followed by a second round of gunfire which prompts hundreds of guests to try and flee to safety.

Pacheco claimed the shots were fired at people when “a lot of big Ballers were gambling lost a lot of money [were] p***ed.

“Then a bunch of gangsters came in and robbed everybody and started shooting everybody.

“A lot of people with money and guns and gangsters… got crazy I ran for my life it was crazy.”

Before the shooting broke out, Gabriel Pacheco had been filming luxury cars in the driveway, while he was chatting with girls outside, before going inside the luxury home.

Earlier in the night the Los Angeles Police Department had arrived to the rented property following numerous noise complaints but the police said that they could not enter without a warrant.

Officers said they were on the scene for traffic and noise control from 6.30pm and estimated around 200 people were attending the party.

Newsweek says the LAPD told local news cops were unable to stop the party earlier overnight, as people weren’t breaking any rules.

Hours later, the LA Fire Department (LAFD) and other emergency services were called to the multiple shooting in Mulholland Drive.

In a statement the fire department said: ‘Two patients are in critical condition and one patient is in grave condition. All three have been transported to area hospitals from the scene.’

One of the victims was a man in his 30s and another a woman in her 40s, CBS reported.

A fourth person also sustained a wrist injury while running away, LAFD said.

There were two rounds of gunfire, according to the broadcaster, the first of which involved around 20 shots and then another volley of several shots a short time later.

Very few of those attending appeared to be observing social distancing nor were they wearing face masks as they danced and frolicked in the pool.

Kennie D. Leggett, security manager for the event at the rented mansion, had earlier told CBS: ‘We have money. We are people. This COVID, I mean, is just pushing us out everywhere, and we have nothing, so the only thing we do have is Airbnbs to rent swimming pools for our kids, to do big things and things of that nature.’

Leggett told CBS that his team planned on staying until 3am when the party was scheduled to end.

The broadcaster said it had contacted the management company for the property who said that they had not been made aware of plans for any party and that it was in violation of the rental terms.

It is unclear if anyone has been arrested.
