Tracy Beaker was a much-loved children’s programme which starred Dani Harmer as the titular character. Outspoken and rebellious Tracy was living at a foster home with other children after her mum gave her up. When is My Mum Tracy Beaker out?
Fans were delighted to hear Tracy Beaker will be making a comeback in this new series.
Sadly there is not an official release date yet, but Express.co.uk will update this story when a date comes to light.
The series will head straight to BBC iPlayer, so fans can watch it on the go or on their TVs at home.
The sequel is expected to arrive on iPlayer early next year, so viewers have a little while to wait.
My Mum Tracy Beaker is based on Jacqueline Wilson’s book of the same name, which was released in 2018.

Who will star in My Mum Tracy Beaker?
Of course, Dani Harmer will be taking on the role of a much older Tracy Beaker.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, she said: “I cannot wait to return (again) to the role of Tracy.
“I’m just like a fan myself and want to know what happens next and where this next journey will take her.
“I absolutely adore playing the character and I’m looking forward to taking on the challenge of portraying her as a first-time mum.”
The full cast list has not been revealed so it is not yet known who will play Tracy’s daughter – Jess.
What will happen in My Mum Tracy Beaker?
In the book, Tracy is tasked with raising her own daughter called Jess.
The series will show how Tracy has changed after becoming a mum and raising her own child.
She is still expected to be a feisty female lead, but will her history with her own mum get in the way of motherhood?
A review for the book says: “A heart-warming tale of unconventional families and unconditional love.”
The story follows the mother and daughter duo as they struggle to get by while living on a London housing estate.
The 31-year-old actress took on the role of Tracy Beaker for the CBBC series when she was just 12.
She has a four-year-old daughter called Avarie-Belle Betsy with her boyfriend Simon Brough.
Harmer said she knew how much being a mother changes people, and she was excited to see how it has changed Tracy.
The actress thanked her fans on Twitter following all the excitement, saying: “Feeling the love”.
