Gregg and John were also quizzed by the hosts on whether the celebrity contestants brought their “egos” to the competition.
But Gregg explained: “I think a lot of them come in and think they can kind of showbiz their way through the competition.
“They meet us and then realise they’re going to have to cook!
“I love it when the egos drop and they just become MasterChef contestants… doesn’t matter how many gold medals you’ve got,” he added.
