Lewis Hamilton set to prove Nigel Mansell right after hero's Michael Schumacher prediction

Hamilton has already racked up 63 points thanks to his sensational form this season and sits top of the drivers’ standings.

Team-mate Valtteri Bottas is expected to be his closest rival as they duel for wins in their respective Mercedes W11s.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has, however, demanded his team guard against complacency despite the supremacy which has made them F1’s pace-setters yet again.

“You can see that Red Bull was struggling all through the weekend [in Hungary], and then they had a pretty decent race car, a car that didn’t look like it could start and the mechanics did a really awesome job in the car there,” Wolff said.

“The gaps are nothing. If you look at the drivers’ points standings, it’s 30 points after three races that we have with Lewis to Max [Verstappen], so you have one DNF, and the gap is gone. You just need to keep going.”
