Man Utd could block £30m Alexis Sanchez transfer exit despite £100m Jadon Sancho talks

He wants regular first-team football which will not be on offer at Old Trafford, with Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and potentially Sancho among the competition for attacking spots.

It appears the Chile international instead sees himself staying at Inter, where he has performed well under ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

A source told the Star: “Alexis doesn’t see the point in going back to Manchester. He’s happy where he is.

“It just didn’t work out for him at United and wants the club to accept that he wants to leave.”

Inter and United are expected to hold talks over Sanchez, who is under contract with the latter until 2022 having joined two years ago in a swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

United have paid half of his wages during his temporary stint in Italy but have yet to change their stance on his long-term future and want him to be part of Solskjaer’s team next term.
