Free Netflix for a year! Attempting to get this offer could cost you dearly

Action Fraud received over 1,400 reports about fake Netflix emails last month alone, so it’s clear that this type of scam is still a growing problem. It’s worth noting that Netflix makes it very clear what it will send out to customers.

The streaming service says they will never email or text subscribers to ask about personal details, including passwords or bank details. The US company also promises to never payment through a 3rd party vendor or website.

If you receive a text or email requesting any of the above, it is not from Netflix.

Scammers cannot get information from you unless you hand it over to them. So don’t click any links in the messages, enter your details into an online form sent via one of these suspicious emails, or reply to the original message.
