Lucy Alexander: Homes Under The Hammer star 'trying to be good' after sharing 'struggles'

Lucy Alexander, 50, shared a life update on her Instagram page yesterday after she recently opened up Twitter about how she “struggles every day” since losing her mother, Kay Alexander, to cancer in February. The Homes Under The Hammer favourite admitted she is now “trying to be good”.

Lucy, who recently shared online how she is “exhausted” after losing her mum earlier this year, took the opportunity to give her followers a life update yesterday.

Alongside a selfie with her dog Teddy, the TV presenter told her 45,000 followers: “Morning. Teddy and me had the best walk in Esher woods with a friend & her dog Alfie.

“Teds gets so excited when he sees other dogs! It’s so cute, weirdly he reminds me of my son Leo when he was young & lively … I even call my dog Leo sometimes … hahaha do any of you do that or is it just me?!!!” she discussed.

Lucy went on to explain why she is “trying to be good” as she explained: “About to make buttery scrambled eggs in the pan but without the butter as I’m trying to be good.

Lucy’s post comes after she publicly opened up about losing her mother as she responded to YouTube star Sarah O’Connell’s tweet.

Sarah wrote: “I’m emotionally exhausted and traumatised by losing my Mum in January, only 2.5 years after Dad.

“My Uncle and a close family friend passed away recently too, & there’s a global pandemic. Also having to consider fleeing the UK because of how relentlessly transphobic it’s becoming.”

Lucy then took the opportunity to discuss her own family loss as she sent on her love to the YouTuber.
