Piers Morgan inundated with support over heartbreaking tribute amid pal's death 'Miss you'

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan shared a heartfelt post on Twitter today. The heartbreaking tribute comes one year after the death of his late manager and friend John Ferriter, who died at the age of 59.

The 55-year-old uploaded a series of photos alongside his late friend as the presenter admitted he “missed” John.

In view of his 7.6 million followers, Piers wrote: “One year ago today, this legend of a man, John Ferriter, sadly died.

“He was my brilliant manager, one of my closest friends & a unique life force.”

The ITV favourite continued: “‘Be the person your dog thinks you are’ was his mantra.

“Seems a good one to me, even though I don’t have a dog. Miss you mate.”

John, who died last year from complications with pancreatitis, was an American television producer and talent manager.

Alongside Piers, he represented stars including Carson Daly, Jimmy Kimmel and Ryan Seacrest.

Fans flocked to comment on the post, as social media users offered messages of support.

One person commented: “I’m sure his life was enriched by having you in it too. He’ll always be a part of your history and his memory lives on in you, still to this day. He sounds like someone who was a good friend and that’s a good memory for people to have of you, when you pass on. RIP.”

“Ahhh I’m sorry Piers, he sounds like a lovely man, and what a great mantra. Dogs don’t judge, they are loyal and trust us, and are happy just to ‘be’ as long as we are around, remember with fondness and a smile,”(sic) another person tweeted.

A third person commented: “That’s a very valuable mantra @piersmorgan and one I have tried to live by for years – though I will concede, not always successfully. He sounds like he was a good man. I’m sorry to hear of his passing.”

While another Twitter user added: “Always sad to lose a colleague, friend and mentor mate, it’s happened to me twice – never forget the lessons you learnt from him pal.”

Meanwhile, Piers has taken a break from his hosting duties on Good Morning Britain for the summer.

However, the father-of-four suffered an injury while holidaying in Saint Tropez as the presenter revealed he tore a tendon.

Piers shared a photo of himself on crutches earlier this week, where he explained he “tore a tendon” on the second day of his six-week holiday.

The TV star has since given fans an update on his condition after being quizzed by a concerned social media follower.
