Rachel went onto describe how the new guidelines would look for those who have been shielding indoors since late March, explaining: “So, just a brief summary of what that means if you’re shielding and how things change. It things you will see an automatic stop to those medicine deliveries and food. 

“However, NHS responders will carry on delivering the food you buy and essential items if you need it. You will still be eligible for priority supermarket slots but you are being told to stay at home and continue to take precautions and keep two metres away from people outside your household or bubble.”

She continued: “You can go to work as long as the workplace is COVID secure but they say, carry on working from home if you can.

“Children who are clinically extremely vulnerable can go back to school when the rest of their classes go back and you can go outside to buy food, to places of worship and for exercise – keeping two metres away.”
