Former Liverpool winger John Barnes has praised the commitment of Willian in recent weeks despite it looking likely he will leave.
Barnes said: “Not only his you’d think his legs are going, [he’s also] a player who you think would be sulking because he’s not getting what he wants and you can see sometimes when players don’t get what they want they don’t perform.
“But in these uncertain times, he has been their most consistent player this year I think.”
Earlier this month Lampard insisted he still hoped there was a way Willian would remain at the club for next season.
