Many viewers were left debating whether The Professor survived at the end of Money Heist Part 4. Following a new post from Álvaro Morte on Instagram, Netflix subscribers can rest assured the criminal mastermind will return in Part Five.
One of Netflix’s most popular shows released another thrilling instalment earlier this year.
The Professor (played by Álvaro Morte) and his team take on the Bank of Spain in the latest instalment of Money Heist.
Following the tragic death of Nairobi (Alba Flores), the gang doubled down on the risky plan in the season finale.
However, behind-the-scenes events took an unexpected turn when The Professor was held at gunpoint by the volatile former police inspector Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) in the final moments of Part Four.

Although Alicia doesn’t pull the trigger, many fans were still concerned The Professor may not make it out of the next episode alive.
Thankfully, a recent Instagram post from Álvaro Morte has revealed the criminal genius is back at the helm for Part Five.
Morte confirmed his character’s survival and captioned the post: “I’m back. The Professor’s back.”
Despite Netflix not officially announcing the green light for Part Five, production seems to be underway following another similar Instagram post.
Although one more fan warned: “Returning for the next season and not dying has been proven to be two different things in the La Casa De Papel universe.”
Even though The Professor is confirmed to return for Part Five, there is still a chance Alicia or a new rival in the Police Corps could eventually take him out.
Moreover, Álvaro may simply be wearing a mask to comply with COVID guidelines, but his white shirt and what could be a glimpse of bandages could suggest The Professor will be in hospital attire at the beginning of Part Five.
If Alicia does pull the trigger when the new instalment picks up where Part Four left off, The Professor may have to try and command his team from a hospital bed.
Other fans are still insistent no harm will come to the fan favourite character as long as Money Heist remains on screens.
As one viewer explained: “I mean how can they kill The Professor? The entire story revolves around him and the creators received so much hate just for killing Berlin and Nairobi, and after that they won’t even think of killing The Professor.”
No release date has been set for Money Heist Part Five, so fans will likely be waiting until 2021 to discover the fates of their favourite Spanish robbers.
