Liverpool lifted the Premier League trophy in a spectacular celebration at Anfield on Wednesday night. Reds captain Jordan Henderson lifted the title for the first time in 30 years. Liverpool fans watched their heroes lift the trophy after their 5-3 victory against Chelsea.
Reds players lifted the title as fireworks filled the sky and a light show beamed around Anfield.
Henderson was handed the trophy by Anfield icon Sir Kenny Dalglish, the man who signed the England international.
Liverpool were forced to celebrate the title win at Anfield without fans in the stadium due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the players, who were allowed family in the stadium for the celebrations, didn’t let it affect their mood.
Fans also gathered outside the stadium to celebrate their first Premier League title.
Despite not being able to celebrate with their fans tonight, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp promised supporters a party when it’s safe to do so.
He said: “If you cannot see that we do this for you then I cannot help you, really.
“Five years ago I asked you to change from doubters to believers.

“I asked and you did it. You made us champions. Thank you very much. We should all celebrate.
“Drink what you want but you have you to prepare for a party when this b******t virus is gone.
“Then we will have a party all together. Make sure you are ready then.”
Henderson, who didn’t feature for Liverpool against Chelsea but lifted the title, has now guided the Reds to the Champions League and the Premier League in two seasons.
The midfielder has been questioned in the past, however, Henderson has proved his worth in recent seasons under Klopp.
And the Liverpool skipper says the Reds will try to come back as strong next season to fend off their rivals.
He said: “Walking up there was amazing. The lads deserved their moment tonight.
“Thankfully the families were up there watching, that was a big thing for us.
“It’s been an amazing season, to crown it off like that was special.
“The start was really good and from there we just grew and grew as the season went on.
“We stronger, more confident, more ruthless, really. We found a way to win on so many occasions and that was down to mentality.
“The lads have been great all season and deserve what they are getting now.
“To get 97 points last year and not win was hard to take. We reacted a few weeks later, won the Champions League and then started the season a few weeks later with unfinished business.
“It’s been an amazing season and I am so thankful to be part of this club and team that has won the Premier League after 30 years.”
Liverpool clinched the Premier League title on on June 25 with seven games to go but Henderson and co. had to wait until their final home game to lift the trophy.
The Reds didn’t disappoint on the night, beating Frank Lampard’s Chelsea 5-3 in an Anfield thriller.
Naby Keita, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Gini Wijnaldum, Roberto Firmino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all netted for Liverpool.
The Blues made a comeback in the second half, however, Oxlade-Chamberlain’s 84th minute goal killed off Lampard’s side.
Klopp’s men are now unbeaten at home in their last 59 Premier League games.
Liverpool travel to Newcastle on Sunday for their final Premier League game of the season.
