League of Legends 10.15 patch news, Lillia release time, and Server Status update

As confirmed in the official LoL 10.15 patch notes, there’s plenty of new content coming to League of Legends this week. Developers Riot Games has confirmed that a new Champion will be debuting later today, following server downtime. This might not happen straight after but fans won’t be waiting long to try out Lillia. Buffs and nerfs are also coming in this new update, with Swain and Skarner getting some changes to their damage outputs.

A full rundown of what to expect after patch 10.15 has gone live and can be found in the new statement released by Riot Games this week.

It reads: “This patch, we welcome the arrival of the Spirit Blossom Festival, first with the entrance of Lillia, our brave guardian from Ionia, and then the return of Nexus Blitz (oh yes, it’s back!), all set in an ethereal realm of wondrous magic and bloom.

“Then, greetings to a refreshed Swain! We’re hoping these spicy changes (higher cast cadence and huge bump up in range) will fire up his power both as a mid laner and support.

“We’ve also taken another pass at Aphelios to tone down his dominance and fine-tune the synergy of his Flamethrower with Runaan’s.

“For the rest of our changelist, we’ve made some Pro-targeted adjustments to champions like Shen and Lee Sin to encourage more diversity in their lanes, while also nudging old friends like Caitlin and Gragas back onto the scene.

“In addition, we’re giving some folks a couple visual changes and audio fixes, focusing on champions with effects that have become outdated in comparison to their newer peers.

“Oh, and one more thing— we’ve brought more flex into Flex queue by lifting rank restrictions! We know, we’re just flexing at this point.”

Riot Games has also confirmed that League of Legends servers are going down today ahead of the big 10.15 release.

Starting today at 1:30am PT, Ranked Queues will be disabled in preparation for patch 10.15. For gamers in the UK, this will start at around 9:30am BST.

Then at 3:00am PDT, the LoL servers will be shut down and all games currently in progress will end in a draw and stats will not be recorded.

Riot Games estimate the battlegrounds will be unavailable for around three hours, however, there could always be some delays in the process.

For gamers in the UK, this should mean a start to maintenance at around 11am BST, with servers going back online at 2pm BST.

After this period, League of Legends 10.15 should be available to download, along with everything mentioned above.

A breakdown of the new Lillia League of Legends Champion can be found below:

Passive – Dream-Laden Bough

  • Lillia’s abilities apply Dream Dust, dealing a portion of the target’s maximum health as magic damage over a duration.

Q – Blooming Blows

  • Lillia swings her branch in the air and deals magic damage to nearby enemies, dealing true damage to those at the outer edge of the circle. Lillia gains stacking movement speed whenever she hits a target with a skill.

W – Watch Out! Eep!

  • Lillia winds up for a huge strike with her branch, dealing magic damage to enemies. Enemies at the center of the impact receive more damage.

E – Swirlseed

  • Lillia lobs a Swirlseed overhead, dealing magic damage to enemies and slowing them for a duration. If Lillia’s Swirlseed misses, it’ll continue to roll until it hits an enemy or collides with terrain.

R – Lilting Lullaby

  • Lillia casts a lullaby over her enemies and those affected by her Dream Dust become increasingly slowed before falling asleep for a duration of time. When awakened by damage, enemies will take additional magic damage.
