No Time To Die release date move to 2021? James Bond Q star Ben Whishaw SPEAKS on rumours

The new James Bond movie has seen its release date move a number of times already. And now it looks like Daniel Craig’s No Time To Die may have to be delayed to 2021 as US coronavirus cases spike. Now Q star Ben Whishaw has weighed in on the uncertainty.

It’s almost been five years since the last Bond movie in Spectre released.

However, this isn’t the biggest gap in the franchise yet.

That record was marked by the wait between Timothy Dalton’s License To Kill (1989) and Pierce Brosnan’s Goldeneye (1995).

However, with a further delay, it’s possible No Time To Die could match the six year break between Bond movies.

Additionally, the new film is a direct sequel to Spectre, so casual fans will have to brush up on the storyline before seeing No Time To Die.

Being Craig’s final Bond movie, No Time To Die will also conclude his 007’s character arc, which began with Casino Royale (2006).

The film’s synopsis reads: “Five years after the capture of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, James Bond has left active service.

“He is approached by Felix Leiter, his friend and a CIA officer, who enlists his help in the search for Valdo Obruchev, a missing scientist. When it becomes apparent that Obruchev was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before.”

No Time To Die is currently set to release in UK cinemas on November 12, 2020.
