Liverpool’s success over the past 18 months has seen revenue at the club rise to new heights but, with grounds still not being open to fans, there remains a level of uncertainty regarding spending.
“We don’t know when football is going to return and there are issues with the Champions League for next season, for example, with the TV budget,” Maguire added.
“The Premier League is currently in negotiations with the government and the most recent comments were that they were hoping for a 40 per cent capacity allowance.
“But first of all we have to get approval and we have to prioritise health – football is a sideshow and there are people still dying.”
