Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell were partnered up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 as the YouTube star replaced his bedroom for the dance floor. After the couple faced dating rumours while on the show they finally went public with their relationship in late 2018. But what is known of Joe’s love life before he met Dianne?
While Joe and Dianne were on Strictly, they faced relationship rumours which at the time Joe denied.
During an appearance on This Morning, Phillip Schofield asked the pair if the dating rumours were true.
Joe said: “It’s so nice I have met such a good friend in Dianne. We haven’t got time to think of anything else.”
When asked again, he added: “We are so busy dancing…”
Joe admitted: “Dianne’s my first girlfriend and you can watch our relationship form – even the moment we met is on camera.
“Everything’s been so easy and nice – it’s just happened the perfect way for us.”
Earlier this year, Joe opened up on wanting to keep his love life private.
Talking to Metro.co.uk, Joe said: “In terms of our relationship, we’re both very much on the same page about what we do and don’t share.
“Obviously, you kind of want to share everything because it’s essentially what your job is, you’ve got that obligation to show your audience and be upfront about everything.”
Joe went on to say how while he is open in some aspects of his relationship he and Dianne have chosen to keep some things to themselves.
The social media star added: “But also we’ve got an amazing audience that understands there are certain things that we want to keep to ourselves.
“We are a normal couple. We’ve got unique jobs but we are a normal couple, so obviously you do want to keep things to ourselves.”
