Donald Trump launches scathing attack on Joe Biden – ‘can’t put two sentences together’

The US President launched a scathing attack on Mr Biden, claiming he is “not competent to be president.” In an interview with Fox News broadcast on Sunday, the President of the United States also challenged polls that say Mr Biden is on track to win the election.

Speaking to Chris Wallace, Mr Trump criticised Mr Biden.

Of Joe Biden, Mr Trump said: “He can’t do an interview. He’s incompetent.

“Biden can’t put two sentences together.

Suggesting staged interviews had taken place, Mr Trump added: “They wheel him out”

“He goes up – he repeats – they ask him questions. He reads a teleprompter and then he goes back into his basement.”

“Let Biden sit through an interview like this, he’ll be on the ground crying for mommy.

“He’ll say, ‘Mommy, mommy, please take me home.'”

Asked by Mr Wallace whether Mr Biden was “senile”, Mr Trump said: “I don’t want to say that. I’d say he’s not competent to be president.”

“To be president, you have to be sharp and tough and so many other things.

He then challenged figures showing that the US seventh-highest mortality rate in the world.

Referring to White House statistics instead of Johns Hopkins data, Mr Trump said: “I think we have one of the lowest mortality rates in the world.”

Asked whether he would hand over the presidency if Mr Biden wins, Mr Trump said: “I will keep you in suspense”.

When questioned on whether that means he would not welcome the election results in such case, Mr Trump did not give too much away.

He said: “No. I have to see.

“No, I’m not going to just say yes. I’m not going to say no, and I didn’t last time either.”

He also lashed out at his nice, Mary Trump, who recently released a tell-all book claiming the US President’s father was emotionally abusive.

The President said: “My father was a very good man. He was a strong man.

“It’s disgraceful that she said that,” he said.

He then added that Mary is “not exactly a family favourite.

“We didn’t have a lot of respect or like for her.”

“I would’ve never said that except she writes a book that’s so stupid and so vicious and it’s a lie.

“My father was a great, wonderful man.”
