Mr Trumps campaign video used a song by Linkin Park causing the band’s record label to enforce a copyright complaint. The campaign video was tweeted first by White House social media director Dan Scavino. Mr Trump then retweeted it before it was promptly taken down.
The video that used the band’s music without permission received a Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice from Machine Shop Entertainment.
The band Linkin Park tweeted: “Linkin Park did not and does not endorse Trump, nor authorise his organisation to use any of our music.
“A cease and desist has been issued.”
The campaign video that used the music of Linkin Park was taken down from the president’s Twitter account late Saturday night.
The Twitter notification stated: “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”
A Twitter representative said in an email statement: “We respond to valid copyright complaints sent to us by a copyright owner or their authorised representatives.”
The White House has yet to make a comment about the video.
Twitter began challenging Trump’s tweets in May and has repeatedly clashed with him since.

“Trump is a greater threat to the USA than terrorism!!
“We have to take back our voices and stand for what we believe in.”
Mr Trump’s campaign has been subject to many objections from artists demanding that he stop using their music in his campaign videos and his rallies.
Those who have filed copyright suits include the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, and R.E.M.
