This Morning presenter 'leaves' ITV for Strictly Come Dancing in shock career move?

Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to the BBC this autumn, albeit with a very different series to previous years. With BBC bosses discussing the new regulations and how to abide by government guidelines, speculation is rife as to who will be signing up and putting a sequin-cladded outfit every Saturday night. More recently, a This Morning stars name has been thrown into the hat, could Martin Lewis OBE take part in the 2020 show?

From Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe, to Loose Women favourite Stacey Solomon, several famous faces will be joining the cast of Strictly Come Dancing 2020. 

Like the BBC, someone from ITV almost always takes part in the nation’s favourite dan competition each year. 

And in a few months time, Martin Lewis could be revealed as the broadcasters offering. 

The journalist and television presenter, best known for being the founder of MoneySavingExpert.com, could swap crunching numbers for counting the beat.

“I used to probably do 15 hours of dancing for about five years – partner dancing, lifts and swings and turns and spins and I wasn’t bad. I had quite good feet,” he added. 

So won’t he take part? 

According to hellowmagazine.com, it’s because he doesn’t want to “risk his standing” with the work he does for Westminster. 

As for who else is set to make an appearance, Jane McDonald revealed she would no longer be fronting her cruising shows on Channel 5.

And it seems she may not be the only soap star as Coronation Street’s Katie McGlynn is tipped for a spot.
