Fortnite gamers can look forward to a new Fortnite Galaxy Skin being added to the game in the near future.
According to dataminers, designs for the next Fortnite Galaxy outfit have leaked via the Samsung Health App, providing a first look at what is being added to the game later this month.
The new Samsung Galaxy Scout Skin features a cosmic entity sitting cross-legged on what appears to be a Samsung phone.
The design aesthetics fit in with past Galaxy skins, with the last major drop coming in 2019.
That included the exclusive Fortnite GLOW Outfit and LEVITATE Emote, which were released as part of a promotion for the Galaxy Note10.
As you might suspect, these items were unlocked exclusively to players who owned a Samsung Galaxy device.
This included Samsung’s Galaxy Note10 and Note10+, the Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e and the Galaxy Tab S6.
It’s unclear for now which new product the next Fortnite Galaxy skin will be tied to, or how players will be able to access it.
It should be noted that the Fortnite iKONIK and GLOW outfits have been retired and are no longer available.
Most Galaxy skins found in Fortnite have only been available to unlock via Samsung phone launches.
But for the time being, it’s unclear if this will be the case for the next Fortnite Galaxy skin.
The leak suggests that the new Galaxy skin will be used to promote a future Galaxy Cup, which has not been announced yet by Epic Games.
Registration for the Fortnite Galaxy Cup is reportedly happening on July 20, meaning we could get a big update in the coming days.
This would be followed by the launch of the Fortnite Galaxy Cup later in July, which would no doubt have some link to the new skin.
It should be noted that no official details have been shared yet on how this new competition will run and who will be able to participate.
Other Fortnite rewards have been launching this week, with the latest week of Aquaman Challenges (Week 5) adding the King of the Seven Seas himself, Aquaman, to the Island’s shores.
Completing his five maritime Challenges will help unlock the Outfit, with a variant also available to unlock via a bonus challenge.
Fans can also snap up the new Black Manta skin if they fancy splashing the cash in the Fortnite Item Shop.
A message from Epic Games explains: “If you’ve missed any of Aquaman’s Challenges, each rewards you with a unique Aquaman-themed reward.
“For example, show off your front stroke in his Week 4 Challenge to unlock the Supreme Shell Back Bling. And in his Week 5 Challenge, claim Aquaman’s Trident to make it your Pickaxe.
“After unlocking the Aquaman Outfit, he’ll have another stop on his waterborne tour for you. While wearing the Outfit, dive over the waterfall at Gorgeous Gorge and unlock the Outfit’s Arthur Curry style (a stylish splash down).
“But Aquaman isn’t the only visitor to have risen from the sea: on the hunt for his heroic adversary, the merciless undersea mercenary Black Manta is now available in the Item Shop as well as his signature Manta Blades Dual Pickaxe.
“The waters await: whether you haven’t begun Aquaman’s Challenges yet or just have the Week 5 Challenge left, all his objectives will be available through the rest of Chapter 2 – Season 3.”
