Cursed ending explained: Is Nimue dead and what did final scene with Iris mean?

The Weeping Monk’s true identity was revealed

Following a crisis of conscience, The Weeping Monk (Daniel Sharman) decided to turn against Father Carden and the Red Paladins.

He saved Nimue’s friend and Fey child Squirrel (Billy Jenkins) with the pair riding off into the sunset.

After getting away from the homicidal, scarlet robed monks, Squirrel revealed his real name was Percival – who will go on to be a knight of the Round Table.

In turn, the Weeping Monk shared his name to be Lancelot – another knight in the court of Camelot.

There are also questions over whether Gawain (Matt Stokoe) managed to survive after he was butchered by the Red Paladins. It appeared Nimue’s powers may have saved him.

The Fey were saved

The Fey fled to the Beggar’s Coast with the Tusks at their side for protection.

But when they arrived, they were attacked by the Vikings warriors belonging to the kingdom of Cumber The Ice King (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson).

Luckily, the Red Spear (Bella Dayne) and her army showed up and helped to defeat the Vikings against the odds.

She and Arthur (Devon Terrell) were introduced to one another as the Red Spear vowed to take the kingdom back from the Ice King, whom she said was a usurper.

There were plenty of loose end left open to be explored further should Netflix recommission the show.
