Riverdale finished its fourth series earlier than normal as the show was forced to stop filming. The Netflix and The CW show will be back for a fifth series though which will pick up where it left off. Riverdale is expected to be back in January 2021 but an official release date has not been announced.

Actress Lili Reinhart plays Betty Cooper, one-fourth of the Core Four in teen drama Riverdale.
She was initially introduced as the “girl next door” type of character until fans started to see “Dark Betty”, the more vengeful side of Miss Cooper.
When she isn’t trying to solve the town’s latest mysteries, she is usually spending time with boyfriend Jughead Jones (played by Cole Sprouse) but in series four, there was even more drama as she shared a passionate kiss with Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), a secret which has yet to have been discovered.

Originally from Ohio, Reinhart moved to Los Angeles when she was 18 so she could pursue her acting career.
At first, she just got a handful of small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Scientastic!.
She also appeared in short films including The Most Girl Part of You before landing lead roles in movies like Forever’s End and Miss Stevens.
Despite achieving some success, Reinhart felt she was not getting anywhere with her dream and suffered with anxiety and depression as a result.
In 2019, Reinhart starred as Annabelle in comedy-drama Hustlers with actress and singer Jennifer Lopez.
She is also going to be starring in and working as an executive producer in new film Chemical Hearts.
Last year continued to be a good year for Reinhart as she was named the face of CoverGirl in October and is now a spokesperson for the Amex Green Card.
With all of this in mind, according to Celebrity Net Worth, Reinhart is worth around $6million (£4,778,700).
Reinhart will return to our screens when Riverdale is back in January.
In 2018, she expressed her gratitude for how far she had come on Twitter.
Reinhart said: “Riverdale came into my life when I was going through the worst depression I had ever experienced.
“And in the end it completely saved me.
“And now here we are, gearing up to film season 2. And I could not be more grateful.”
