Trump PANIC: Re-election campaign CRUSHED by Joe Biden as approval ratings plummet

Registered voters support Mr Biden over Mr Trump 52-37 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll published yesterday. This is a wider margin than in Quinnipiac’s June poll, when 49 percent of voters backed Mr Biden and 41 percent supported Mr Trump.

Since March, Mr Biden’s lead had fluctuated from eight to 11 percentage points.

Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy said: “Yes, there’s still 16 weeks until Election Day, but this is a very unpleasant real time look at what the future could be for President Trump.

“There is no upside, no silver lining, no encouraging trend hidden somewhere in this survey for the president.”

An NBC/WSJ poll released Wednesday also shows Mr Biden leading Mr Trump with an incrementing margin.

Mr Biden obtained 51 percent backing among registered voters over Mr Trump’s 40 percent.

In the NBC/WSJ June poll, Mr Biden lead Mr Trump with 49 percent to 42 percent.

The study also revealed increasing discontent with Mr Trump’s performance, with a notable change on the economy where opinions on Mr Trump’s performance have become unfavourable.

The economy had been the only subject on which Mr Trump had net positive reviews in Quinnipiac’s polling, but now, 44 percent agree while 53 percent disagree with his actions.

This is a shift from June when 51 percent backed Mr Trump and 46 percent vowed for Mr Biden.

Despite the polls showing Mr Trump’s decline, the campaign on Thursday was seen in a positive mindset.

Bill Stepien, a longtime political operative and deputy campaign manager for President Trump, who would substitute Brad Parscale as campaign manager, painted a favourable picture of Mr Trump’s re-election effort.

Mr Stephen said: “We have a better team, better voter information, a better ground game, better fundraising, and most importantly, a better candidate with a better record.

“With 109 days left, our goal is clear – to win each day we have left until Election Day.”

Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and a senior White House adviser, is widely seen as the driving force behind Mr Trump’s campaign.

Jason Miller, a senior advisor at the campaign, said: “Jared is a very important voice within President Trump’s orbit.

“In addition to being a very smart and creative thinker, he is someone who always has President Trump’s back and looks out for him, not only as someone who is president of the United States, but as someone who is family.”

But some Republicans have raised concerns Mr Kushner may be taking on too much work.

Mr Kushner’s portfolio currently involves the coronavirus crisis, immigration, revamping government and the Middle East.
