Tesco and Sainsbury’s update product restriction rules for shoppers on six items

Sainsbury’s is also starting to reopen some of its fresh pizza counters in store, following temporary closures in the lockdown.

However, the rules at Tesco are a little different as the supermarket giant still has some restrictions on how much shoppers can buy.

But the rules differ depending on whether you’re shopping in store or online.

“As our stock levels are returning to normal, we’ve removed the purchasing limits on all products in our stores, except for face coverings, which has a limit of three units,” Tesco said on its website FAQs.

“There’ll also still be a limit of three units on online orders of face coverings, antibacterial handwash, antibacterial wipes, flour, and eggs.”
