A few heavy hitters from the New York cocktail scene have collaborated on a new line of canned cocktails called Social Hour. Julie Reiner and Tom Macy, two of the owners of the Brooklyn cocktail bar Clover Club, are providing the mixological inspiration, while some of the base spirits will come from the New York Distilling Company in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The gin and tonic will use the distiller’s Perry’s Tot Navy Strength Gin and a custom-made tonic water. The whiskey mule will combine the distiller’s Ragtime Rye with a handmade ginger beer. There is also an Italian aperitivo-style Pacific Spritz. Social Hour will be available in New York and New Jersey beginning Aug. 1.
