Chelsea boss Frank Lampard admits his players are feeling nervous with Manchester United breathing heavily down their neck. The Blues were handed a major let-off following their 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United with top-four rivals Leicester and United failing to capitalise on their catastrophic display in Yorkshire.
While Lampard’s players did not put on a masterclass against already relegated Norwich, they done enough to grind out a 1-0 victory as they edge closer to Champions League qualification.
In truth, the hosts were comfortable throughout and could have had a hatful against the resolute Canaries, who defended well for the duration of the match.
Olivier Giroud’s first-half header was enough to earn all three points following Christian Pulisic’s pinpoint delivery.
After the match, Lampard conceded that results are all that matters now we are at the business end of the season.

Chelsea will look to continue building momentum as they look to get one up on United this weekend in the FA Cup semi-final.
They then travel to champions Liverpool before facing a final day shootout with fellow contenders Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, United travel to Crystal Palace and host West Ham before a season-defining trip to Leicester.
Lampard admits his squad are feeling the heat knowing any further slip-ups could prove to be fatal.
“I don’t want to be too critical at this stage, it’s not easy, there’s a nervy feeling for understandable reasons so I’m pleased,” he added.
“It’s a tough one to call, we know our fixtures are hard and so is everybody else, this is the Premier League.
“I think rather than give you a pointless answer, we take our three points and we worry about ourselves.
“We can sit down and watch the other teams now and have the FA Cup as our focus for the weekend but there is obviously still work to do.”
