Alex Jones: The One Show host reveals family challenges amid 'hopeless' husband admission

The One Show presenter Alex Jones, 43, has spoken out about some difficulties she has faced alongside her husband Charlie Thomson while trying to keep their young children entertained during the coronavirus lockdown. The star, who shares three-year-old Teddy and one-year-old Kit with her other half, said the couple have “exhausted” every activity at home.

Opening up about the chaotic period to The Telegraph’s Stella Magazine, Alex said: “We have exhausted every puzzle, every scrapbook, every bit of Play-Doh, every book. We are just going around in circles.”

In spite of the challenges, Alex told the publication she has enjoyed spending extra time with her loved ones, as her husband, an insurance broker, has also been working from home.

However, Charlie’s work space has proved to be slightly inconvenient for the Welsh television personality, as it is based in their bedroom.

She divulged: “I now have to get into bed by climbing over his office chair.”

Alex went on to reveal she is the early riser in her marriage and is ready to look after their sons from 5am, as Charlie is “hopeless in the morning”.

She divulged: “My husband is amazing, but he’s hopeless in the morning.”

Alex also said she has been getting creative with ways to exercise while gyms are closed and has been using her children as dumb-bells.

She quipped: “I just lift Kit up and do squats holding Ted, and they think it’s brilliant!

“I’ve just been sleeping in the car park in Sainsbury’s, a new low.”

Alex captioned the post: “WARNING… Teething babies can lead to…”(sic)

The BBC favourite then admitted she was also feeling concerned about her choice of outfit.

Alex posted a snap of herself posing sheepishly for the camera in a cream jacket and red T-shirt.
