During Money Heist season four, Berlin (played by Pedro Alonso) is seen with The Professor (Alvaro Morte) and Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna) in a bar as they discuss the heist on the Bank of Spain. While The Professor explains he doesn’t trust Palermo not to betray them, Berlin is distracted by another man in the bar and is seen following him into the bathroom where he tortures him. The scene in question has left many viewers disappointed as they felt it was both “unnecessary” and “uncomfortable”.
In the bathroom, Berlin taunts the unknown man, teasing him about his weight and his appearance.
As the man squirms and tries to leave the bathroom, he is attacked by Berlin who injures him in the groin using a fork.
The scene is incredibly shocking and Berlin refuses to reference what happened when he leaves the bathroom to rejoin The Professor at the bar.
Berlin’s interaction with the man is not referenced again and there’s no explanation as to why it was involved, which has left many fans baffled by its inclusion.

“We are under the suppression of society and the rules. We live in a world where so many people suffer.
“Berlin is like an indication of our inner feelings. He’s kind of a free horse; the sense of liberation and bluntness he shows are what attracts people because they’re like ‘well, having this kind of liberation must be a great feeling.”
He continued to Identity magazine: “Also, even though Berlin is dangerous, he still knows how to enjoy life.
“Because he’s fearless, daring and his character is so inviting. So yes, he’s questionable, terrible, but also fun and exciting.”
Due to Berlin’s inclusion in flashbacks, some fans are certain he will return from the dead despite being shown shot in the chest in the season two finale.
Commenting on the theories he’s not dead, Pedro laughed: “After Berlin died, it was funny how it was impossible for a lot of people to believe he actually died.
“Some still insisted that he was going to come back to life, somehow.”
