The government’s small business lending program was intended to minimize the number of layoffs Americans suffer in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Paycheck Protection Program authorized $520 billion for nearly 5 million mostly small businesses and nonprofits. On Monday, the government released the names and some other details of recipients who were approved for $150,000 or more.

However some inclusions on the list raised eyebrows, including Khloe’s brother-in-law Kanye West.

The rapper, who claims to be a billionaire, received somewhere between $2m to $5million in order to keep 106 people employed in his Yeezy sneaker business.

The Talk panelist said it was ’embarrassing’ for the rapper/fashion designer to accept the money from the federal government’s Payroll Protection Program while sounding off during Wednesday’s episode.

‘When you are so wealthy, your family, everybody in your family is so wealthy, why are you doing this?’ Sharon, 67, wondered before adding: ‘I think he should give the money back.’

Meanwhile Reese Witherspoon’s Southern-themed clothing brand Draper James received between $350,000 and $1 million under the fund, helping it to keep 44 people employed.

Channing Tatum’s New Orleans restaurant, Saints and Sinners, was approved for between $150k and $350k toward its 27 workers.

Other interesting recipients include The Girl Scouts, the chain restaurants P.F. Chang’s and T.G.I. Fridays, several of The Church Of Scientology’s smaller churches and missions, high-priced fine artist Jeff Koons, and the non-profit The Americans for Tax Reform Foundation.
