EUROPA LEAGUE DRAW: Manchester United set to face Copenhagen or Basaksehir with Sevilla or Roma waiting for Wolves if they get through

Manchester United will face either Copenhagen or Istanbul Basaksehir in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League if they overcome LASK – and may meet Wolves in an all-English semi-final.

Wolves, however, will face a tough quarter-final against either Sevilla or Roma if they beat Olympiacos in their last-16 tie.

Rangers are on course to face either Inter Milan or Getafe in the quarter-finals if they can overturn their 3-1 first leg deficit against Bayer Leverkusen.

Intriguingly, United and Wolves will meet in the semi-finals of the competition if they both progress that far.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team have one foot in the quarter-finals after thrashing Austrians LASK 5-0 in the first leg prior to the football shutdown in March.

Their quarter-final match against either Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir or Danes Copenhagen will be played during the finals tournament to be staged in Germany in August. Basaksehir lead that tie 1-0 following the first leg.

Wolves, meanwhile, drew 1-1 with Olympiacos in Greece back in March but would face a daunting quarter-final challenge against Sevilla or Roma, who weren’t able to play the first leg of their last-16 tie amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, if the Molineux club get through those games, they could face United in an all-English semi-final played in Germany.

Rangers trail Leverkusen 3-1 following their home first leg at Ibrox but would go through to play either Inter or Getafe if they can turn things around in the return.

The other quarter-final match-up sees Wolfsburg or Shakhtar Donetsk face either Eintracht Frankfurt or Basel.
