Charley Webb: Emmerdale's Debbie Dingle star asks fans for help amid mishap at home

Charley Webb, 32, who plays the character of Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale, has admitted she doesn’t know what to do after losing all of her inspiration while decorating her sons’ bedrooms during lockdown. The ITV soap star admitted on her Instagram story that she needed “somebody” to help her with ideas, yesterday.

Alongside a series of short videos, Charley, who has three children; Buster, 10, Bowie, four, and 11-month-old Ace, with her husband Matthew Wolfenden, began to tell her 462,000 Instagram followers: “So, I’m doing the boys’ bedrooms up. Well, Buster’s is done, pretty much, just needed painting.

“I’ve already got the paint. It’s Ace’s and Bowie’s that I’m doing and I’ve just lost all of my inspiration, and I don’t know what to do,” she explained.

“I should have designed the rooms before I bought loads of stuff. But I just always get overexcited [and] buy loads of stuff and now I don’t know where to put any of it.”

The Emmerdale actress continued to say: “I feel like I just need somebody to just design it for me.

“So, if you have any inspiration please send it my way.”

Charley went on to tell her viewers why she doesn’t find one of her son’s rooms “calming” and revealed her reaction to a mishap at home after a game of Hide and Seek.

The TV star confessed: “I wanna make it sort of Scandinavian style, simple, and just cute basically with less stuff. Any ideas are very welcome.

“He’s got so many books in his bedroom, and he just needs to get them all out and put them in the playroom because I just don’t find it calming when I’m in there.”

Shortly long after Charley reached out for help online, she posted another video to thank those who quickly got in touch.

The mother-of-three announced: “Already got so many messages of inspiration and I feel so much better.

“Your kids’ rooms are so cute. I’ll post some after pictures when I actually get around to doing the kids’ rooms.”

Charley’s husband Matthew also stars in Emmerdale as the character of David Metcalfe.
