Kim Jong-un shock – North Korean leader BACK FROM THE DEAD

The North Korean leader was reported dead after disappearing on May 1. Reports spread about whether the leader had died from a botched heart operation. While Kim has made a couple of public appearances since, his vanishing acts have led to fears in the country of their leaders health.

The latest sighting of Kim Jong-un came today, when he visited Kumsusan Palace of the Sun.

The leader was paying his respects to his grandfather and founding ruler of North Korea, Kim Il-sung, on the anniversary of his death.

Despite dying in 1994, Kim Il-sung is regarded as the country’s “eternal president”.

No North Korean leader has ever missed the memorial.

Kim was flanked by high ranking North Korean officials as he paid tribute to his grandad.

State media reported that top officials Choe Ryong Hae, Pak Pong Ju, Kim Jae Ryong, and others walked with Kim as he approached a statue of Kim Il-sung.

But foreign experts are suspicious of the new pictures, as Kim has recently ordered North Korean’s to wear face masks in public.

Japanese defence minister Taro Kono claimed Japan holds “suspicions” about the health of Kim.

At a press briefing last month, the minister said that the countries movements around Kim’s appearances were “all very strange”.

He told reporters: “We have some suspicions about his [Kim Jong-un’s] health.”

Taro said the “very strange movements” in North Korea were because of Kim “trying not to get infected” with coronavirus, as the “virus is spreading around” the country.

Rumours of Kim Jong-un’s death started when he missed his grandfather’s birthday celebration on April 15, and last being seen on April 11.

On May 1, he reappeared with his sister Kim Yo-jong to open a fertiliser plant.

The leader has been making most address via letters according to state media.

Rumours persist about Kim’s health as outlets like KCNA have not pictured him in public recently.

Kim has disappeared before, vanishing for three weeks in February.

In 2014, Kim went missing for 40 days, reemerging with a walking stick and speculation the leader was battling gout.
