This means a number of services will not be able to be offered at the moment, including face waxing and threading, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, microblading, among others.

Beard trimming will be permitted, providing the services are “simple beard trims, thinning or removing bulk or length which can be done using either clippers or scissors”, and providing other guidelines are followed to avoid the “high-risk zone”.

The Government has issued some updated guidance so beauty businesses can make sure they are COVID-19 secure, with more expected to follow in due course.
